    Yard Sale/Bake Sale: May

    Thousands of items priced to sell at this 150+ Family yard sale. Watch your calendar for donation dropoff dates. Donations can be dropped off in the school parking lot. Income Goal $2,000.


    Silent Auction: November

    Our largest school fundraiser of the year held at A-West High School. Do some holiday shopping with unique and creative gifts and gift certificates. Simply write your own price on the bidding sheet... a very low-stress shopping solution. Handcrafted items always sell very well, so please donate something unique to help us reach our Income Goal of $7,500.


    Rug Rats Run: October

    Fun 5K run/walk fundraiser at an Arvada park. Great family fun.



    Year End Picnic: May

    We say "Good-bye" and wrap up the school year at this PTA-sponsored celebration. All families are invited to attend.


    Box Tops & Soup Labels & Tyson Tags

    An easy way to help your PTA raise money for our kids. Simply clip the logos you see here from your groceries, and drop them in the basket in your classroom. Income Goal $200.


    Scholastic Orders:

    Look for your monthly Scholastic Book Order Form in your parents mailbox.The school also benefits, as they receive points toward future book purchases with every order you place.

    February Book Fair:

    The Book Fair is a great way to shop for kids books. Hundreds of excellent titles to choose from, and helping the school to earn free books.


    Room Parents

    Each classroom has 2 parents per class to help the teachers in communicating with parents and other tasks ensuring a smoothly-run classroom. The Room Parent Coordinator assists and coordinates all these parents.

    Babysitters:

    Babysitting is available to all currently enrolled members of the PTA whilst they are attending a Parent Group Meeting. Parents must remain on the premises, and a $1 per child donation is suggested. Babysitters are paid by your PTA so that you can make the most of our Parent Group Meeting.

     

    Membership

    The PTA Membership Coordinator; Serves as a voting member and attends Board and General Meetings, Coordinates membership drives, Files reports to Jeffco and National PTA, Reports current membership at meetings. The busiest time for this position is in August and September during our main membership drives. There are 2 membership reports to be completed, one in November and one in February.


    Parent & Tot Class

    This is a PTA-sponsored playgroup. No staff are involved, it's simply a great opportunity for parents and tots to play together. Meets Wednesdays, with a $10/month supplies fee.


    Parent Group Meetings

    Each Tuesday and Thursday all families are invited to attend these popular events. We'll have Guest Speakers, parenting discussions, and a chance to explore topics pertinent to family life and relevant to the families of young children. Please come and share your parenting experiences and family issues. See your calendar for upcoming speakers and topics.


    School Directory

    A PTA-sponsored directory of all students' names, phone numbers and photos, made available to each parent.


    Newsletter & Website:

    A bimonthly PTA newsletter will be in your parent mailbox throughout the school year.
